What to Watch Based on Spouse?

Is what you watch based on your spouses interests or shared?

Together we watch recorded entertainment from about 8 - 9:30. The tv is in the living room. It’s accepted that our evenings are spent together there. There’s another in the basement and one in the bedroom. Neither one is used much.

I‘ve realized there are shows I never watched because he doesn’t like them and vice versa.

In the evenings, we watch together in the living room based on shared interests. It is part of our shared together time along with the hour we spend every morning drinking coffee in the sunroom and eating breakfast and dinner.

During the rest of the day, we watch what either of us pleases. She has the remote in the kitchen and the one in the master bedroom. I have the one upstairs in my office/workout room.

here, we all have our own televisions. if there's no interest in a communal program, we can all retreat and enjoy what we want.

this house subscribes to just about every streaming service out there, where there's a plethora of content available - I can usually find something interesting.

back in the day, controlling the remote was a territorial imperative, located on the Y chromosome...

I have my TV in the rec room. He watches TV in the living room.

I don't care for car shows, Nascar, gun shows, old westerns, politics, or cooking shows. He doesn't like House Hunters, sci-fi, Hoarders, or romantic movies.

We get together in the living room for America's Got Talent, The Big Bang Theory, Maine Cabin Masters and Barn Yard Builders.

Sometimes I'll show up for football games, depending on who's playing. Sometimes he'll watch the Olympics with me.

We have three TVs. I have no idea why.

We have one TV in our sitting room which my hubby is glued to most of the day.
I never ever watch TV during the day.
In the evening I join him to watch the shows we both enjoy or to watch a cd we borrowed from the library.
He records all the shows before hand so we don't have to sit through commercials and he controls when we watch each show which is fine with me.
Toward the end of the week I usually run out of the shows I want to watch so I retreat to my daughters old room with my computer, paints photos and other interests.
