What was the name of your first love...can you remember ?

my first love was when I was in the 5th grade and she was going into the 6th.
The family moved in across the street and mom said I should go make friends with their son. I tried but I was more interested in talked to his sister who was one year older then me. That summer we spent every day together. Can't remember where her brother was. We would talk, decide to go to the park or collect our coins and go get ice cream. Just sit on the porch and talk. Fall came, school started and I knew that she, being 1 grade higher than me would find new friends and the summer would be over.
First day of school I come out expecting to walk home alone and she is waiting for me.
Can't express how I felt. Lowly fifth grader and this sixth grader wants to walk home with me......wow!
We continued to spend time together until my family moved a couple of months later.
Remember her and will never forget my first love.

His name was Jan (the male version of the name). We were both 15. l had to move across the country because of the military.
He asked for us to get married but after several more moves it wasn't possible, This was the era of no computers and highly
expensive phone calls. The military runined my life.

Funny how we are all the same. Same hopes, same dreams. Experiences very similar.
Here we are, talking about it all. Most of our friends are gone. We look around and a lot of the faces are gone. Yet! we are here. I try not to forget those who past. I try to remember them all, yet the list is growing. At some point I will be on the remember list. In the mean time, take a deep breath, look at the blue sky and clouds. Smell the air and thank God for his provisions.
Not to be religious but I firmly believe that God has a purpose for us all. When that purpose has been completed we will go home to him. In the mean time I count my blessings and face the next day.
All have a nice day.

Well, I think I had 3 in the early years.

First was childhood. My mom and his mom were best friends and he and I were same age by like a month. Our families were together through growing up probably 3 if not more times a week. My dad's best friend was his dad as well. Anyhow, he was older by like a month and when it came time to go to kindergarten he made the cutoff and I didn't, so we ended up separated by a year. In school grades. But then due to roads and where one went to school based on that, he was sent off to one elementary and I was to another. They only lived a mile from us but a road in between was the line. Darn it.

Long story short, we didn't grow up that closely because of that. Other than families still seeing each other. He flirted some with me when we hit early teens but ended up not going anywhere. He was soon dating the biggest bi*ch in high school lol. He turned into such a hottie too. Sad I am. He would be my first, I could share hours more. FIRST love I mean.

Next guy, I was in 8th grade, he was in 9th and where I lived that was a high schooler so an older man had interest in me! Looking back I wouldn't say it was love but a crush. But I sure thought I was in love. Met on a hayride, went to a few movies, not much more. First real dates though, well kind of. I was to meet him there and pay my own way and each of us usually brought a friend for moral support lol. Very early teenybopper stuff.

But in high school, oh my. I caught the interest of the hot guy in town, already graduated, wow, a real older man. He had a couple of hot rods painted up all nice and an older classic truck he really did up. That one really, really caught me. He was the one for years after I was out of high school and married, I still thought of. That finally passed after some years and in hindsight was it love? Probably not. A very, very hard crush.

So there were 3 during my school years and even before with the neighbor. He did fight me for toddler toys when we were both little though lol.

Out of the 3 the only one I'd say I knew and would be a keeper was that guy, the one I grew up with even if we ended up separated in schools. Had we not, I always have wondered if we would have ended up together. Our folks thought so from the day we were little but life interfered.

First was a Mark, second was a Doug, third was a Mark. First Mark awesome. Right teaching growing up, our families were very similar. Second Mark in high school, major hot guy, really thought I loved him, but very full of himself.

Oh and I had a few with a crush on me in early grades. A Roger in first grade I think it was... But that's the time they show they like you by chasing you with snakes and pulling your hair and such. Uhm no. Oh and he cheated at marbles when we played. Or maybe he didn't but he took my favorites anytime he won! That's no way to get a girl.
