What was the worse injury you had?

As a Child and as an Adult.
When I was a child we were playing Cowboys and Itchy Bums(Indians)
I was a Cowboy and was hiding behind a log, as I looked up over the log, a spear(the old fashioned tent poles with the long metal spike on the end) punctured my face less than an inch below my right eye. Everything went instantly red with all the blood pouring from the hole.
As an Adult, I was a tradesman using industrial machinery and the end of my left index finger was squashed flat.
Had workers running around trying to find the end of my finger because no one had seen what happened.
There was no end of my finger. It was squashed out of existence. :D

My grandad lost a finger in an industrial accident, and my uncle lost his ye, he use to have a glass eye he would chase us around the room with when we were kids...

Worst injury I had was when I was 15 and my father in his usual violent rage Broke my back...
I can picture you children running and screaming as your Uncle holding his glass eye chasing after you all. :D
Wow, sorry about having your back broken. Terrible family situation. How long was your convalescence?

When I was at a 2 yr college, our 'tag football team' was practicing outside one day,a team mate threw me the football. As I was going for it,I didn't see a small tree that had just been planted, tripped over it fell on my left hand. I thought I broke it{I'm a lefty} it was my thumb which I dislocated
I had to wear a splint 24/7 for 6 weeks, whenever I took a shower had to put a plastic bag over the hand. I felt like a little kid when my friends at dinner cut my meat for me,eating jello was always a challenge
I was disappointed I couldn't part take in our football match against another team, but was there on the sidelines rooting them on,we did win
