As a Child and as an Adult.
When I was a child we were playing Cowboys and Itchy Bums(Indians)
I was a Cowboy and was hiding behind a log, as I looked up over the log, a spear(the old fashioned tent poles with the long metal spike on the end) punctured my face less than an inch below my right eye. Everything went instantly red with all the blood pouring from the hole.
As an Adult, I was a tradesman using industrial machinery and the end of my left index finger was squashed flat.
Had workers running around trying to find the end of my finger because no one had seen what happened.
There was no end of my finger. It was squashed out of existence.
