What/Who were you named after?

My father, brothers, my son and I all have the same middle name. It was more of a man's name at the time, but has gradually become a girl's name, as they are taking all the names these days. ;)

My first name was so rare when I was growing up that I was the only one in my school. These days it's fairly common. I expect it became more well known after my ship sank.
My name isn't rare at all.. .. but its not as common as people think it is......everyone thinks they know someone with my name.. but in actuality.. I was the only one with my name in a school of 1000 pupils.... and even at infant school no-one else had my name so I grew up hating it..thinking I was the odd one out... but it is actually a name known to everyone.. yet rarer than people think..

OMG..they named you Titanic ?:eek::eek:

My cousin had our grandfather's whole name, so he was a "II', instead of a "Jr.", since it skipped a generation.

That came in very handy for him later. He used my grandmother's address for his permanent address, since he was frequently homeless.

Since his driver's license didn't have the "II" on it and her address, he stole some of her checks and cashed them as she still had my late grandfather's name on them.

She refused to have him prosecuted, so he didn't learn his lesson. Ever. Still the bad boy of the family.

I was named after my Uncle who was actually a Rapper.

His name was Will T. Lettuce.
