"What Would You Do?"

A Boy Makes Anti-Muslim Comments In Front Of An American Soldier.

The Soldier's Reply: Priceless.

When people are put into ethical dilemmas, given the choice between passively accepting injustice and standing up for what they believe is right.

(ABC used a hidden camera to record responses)

This soldier didn't hesitate to speak up when a young man started harassing a Muslim cashier, refusing to be served by him because "he's a Muslim."

The uniformed man defended freedom of religion for all, stating, "We live in America, he can have whatever religion he wants."

"That's the reason I wear the uniform -- so anyone can live free in this country."

When the producer arrived on the scene to explain that the heckler and the cashier were both actors,
the soldier downplayed his "heroic" response by saying, "If you're an American, you're an American. Period."

People forget that Europeans came here to escape persecution, and that everyone in the USA may practice as they see fit, as long as their practice harms no one.

All of the laws created to ultimately shove everyone toward Christianity are just as wrong as blatantly telling someone they cannot execute purchases in stores open to the general public, because they are Muslim.

I think I would have applauded that soldier.

I saw that show on TV, and I also agree with That Guy that an American is an American. Some other interesting scenarios on that show, just saw a couple of episodes, but it reminded me of Candid Camera.

I love the show and loved Candid Camera as well. I remember laughing all the way through CC and not so much on WHAT WOULD YOU DO? They have scenarios with despicable roles, but it's very entertaining.
