What Would Your Last Meal Be?

Okay assuming you had a day's notice. If you were to check out tomorrow what would be on the menu before you go? Humorously of course, we're not talking feeding tubes or anything. Mine would be...

Appetizers-Sourdough bread and butter and a shrimp bar, a dish of Indian goodies

Liquid Refreshment- Long Island Ice Teas and keep 'em coming, plus Thai tea to cool the burn n' settle the tummy.

Main Course-Steak, lobster tail and baked potato, skip the veggies, hey I'm croaking who needs healthy?

Dessert- a buffet of K Paul bread pudding, Indian pudding, gulab jamun, kulfi, Thai sticky rice, Cinnamon flop, lemon sponge pie and a shoo fly pie.

After the above I can go very happy, what would be your menu?

Liquid Refreshment- I don't presently drink, but if it was my last meal, I would order:
Cosmopolitan
Cocktail
A cosmopolitan, or informally a cosmo, is a cocktail made with vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and freshly squeezed or sweetened lime juice. Wikipedia

Main alcohol: Vodka

Ingredients: 1/2 oz Fresh lime juice, 1 oz Cranberry juice, 1/2 oz Cointreau, 1 1/2 oz Vodka Citron

Preparation: Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and double strain into large cocktail glass. Garnish with lime wheel.

Served: Straight up; without ice

Standard garnish: Lime wedge, Lemon slice

Drinkware: Cocktail glass

Main Course-Steak, lobster tail and baked potato- that would work for me. Green tossed salad, with a light dressing.

Dessert?

better-than-sex-cake.

You know I had to look up that cake, okay add that to my dessert buffet.:):):)

Normally I would not combine these things..but it's my last meal, so I want my favorite things ( this menu would change were it to be my last meal in a prison cell)

Tall glass of good ice tea
A nice thick New York strip steak. Medium ( I used to eat it rare, but changed as I got older)
Fresh potatoes whipped and topped with fried chicken gravy
Steamed Asparagus
a small spinach salad topped with mango & avocado slices with a squeeze of lemon & good olive oil
fresh baked Italian loaf bread with rosemary and olive oil for dunking
Home made tart cherry pie
Irish coffee after

I love Indian food & Greek food, but I think my favorite meal has always been a good steak

Oh yes Sharon, I forgot the Irish coffee. There was this place in NYC called O' Neil's Balloon...the Irish coffee was like half a gallon...it was a sight to behold...that.

I would go with jujube's choice as long as there are oysters on the half shell on the buffet. I would also like some really, really, good bread to go with it covered with gobs and gobs of butter or some good flavored olive oil for dipping. I would finish that off with a nice ice cream soda. The kind that stings the tongue. For dessert I would like plain cheese cake. No sense going overboard. What if something happened and it turned out not to be my last meal. I'd have to be on that stupid treadmill forever.

Chicken Kiev, asparagus tips with hollandaise sauce, hummus on pita bread, roasted rosemary and garlic potato wedges with organic strawberries, watermelon and black plums and any fruit not in season if this will buy me more time. :playful:

I'd take a double fudge brownie for dessert. Of course.

IF I had any appetite, I'd like a boneless rib-eye steak, charred black on the outside and a reddish-pink
in the middle; a baked potato with sour cream & chives. A spinach salad with ranch dressing.
A hot fudge sundae for dessert.

Steak medium rare, lobster tail
twice baked potato
asparagus
brownie topped with ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, cherry - coffee and drambuie
lots of mai tais

For my appetizer, a nice shrimp cocktail and a bowl of New England clam chowder.
Main course of fried seafood platter with perfectly crisp french fries and corn on the cob with ice cold beer to wash it down
Warm triple berry pie with ice cream for dessert
