What's something people do in public that seriously annoys you?

Cell or smart phone blabbing/texting in public and while driving.

When you're dining out with someone (or have invited someone to your home) and they get a cell phone call and start talking on the phone. It's the height of rudeness. The caller is interrupting, get rid of the caller or better yet, shut the dang thing off beforehand.

The other night me and all the customers in the line heard all the grim details of someone's C section scar getting infected, and a bunch of other points that she has to share with her gynecologist...You are not even in a phone booth and your friend is on speaker. Whatever happened to private conversation?

1.) People who don't control their children in stores. Recently, was in our local grocery. Man was on his cell phone, while his little kid was knocking things off shelves onto the floor. He wasn't paying attention and when he did notice, just laughed and left the items where the kid dropped them.
2.) The drivers who drive in the passing lane but are going slower than other traffic. Some years ago, I began taking notes on the people I had to pass in the "slow lane" because they were driving at or under the speed limit in the fast lane. Got some really surprising results.
3.) Drivers who simply refuse to use their turn signals.
4.) People who cannot hold a conversation without lacing every sentence with 4-letter words.

and another thing, LOL!!!

The mention of driving made me think of one that makes my blood boil, in my area many, many drivers do not pull off to the side of the road when an emergency vehicle, ambulance, firetruck, etc... is approaching with lights and sirens blaring. More and more people seem oblivious to them and just keep rolling along. I don't know if this is because no one has taught them how to act or if it is just part of the me generations thinking.

I see the same situation with funeral processions in my area. People too impatient for them to pass, butting into the procession or breaking up the procession, so they can cross the intersection etc...

Here in BC it is against the law to use the cell phone while driving, yet people still do it.

People who are in restaurants seem to feel the need to talk very loudly on their cell phones....Yes we can hear you have a cell phone. It's not all that impressive any more.

People who have to stand in the store aisles to chat with some long lost friend, they must not have seen each other for so many years.

I get mad when people treat their children harshly in public (and in private, but I don't see that). Yanking, yelling, just plain being mean to little kids who haven't done anything except act like a little kid.

I also get very annoyed when people don't try to stop their kids' bad behavior in public. There is no reason a parent cannot just abandon their cart and go home if their method doesn't work -- before they resort to yanking, slapping, yelling, cursing or letting their kids run hog wild.

It was fun to take my kids out in public, even when they were little. My boys are triplets, and my daughter is 1.5 years younger than her brothers. So you'd think it wouldn't be easy with an entire litter along, and I was surprised that I never had to abandon my cart and leave a store.

The only embarrassing thing they ever did was when a really overweight lady who was wearing a red coat came into a store at Christmastime. The kids all started hollering at the top of their lungs, so excited to see Mrs. Claus. I was mortified.

Anyway, back to the topic ... it amazes me when people cannot handle responsibly handle one or two little kids in public.

I find it annoying when people can't handle their dogs in public...
First off for puppies and easily frightened dogs a large pet store can just be too overwhelming.
Simple rule, unless you've had much dog experience do not get a canine stronger than you are.
If my boy growled and showed teeth you would have a heart attack, it's not " cute" when your Doxie does it either.
Please, please, please, we have an excellent trainer. Spiked collars and choke collars are not humane for the most part.
Is your dog testy around strange dogs? Do not bring him into a store full of strange dogs to socialize him, it's not going to end well, trust me.

Isn't that illegal in the USA? It was made illegal here in the UK a couple of years ago following some high profile fatalities on the roads. Sadly you still see it though!

My bug bear isn't the smart phone zombie pedestrians, who seem completely oblivious to their surroundings as they stare at their screens. I have seen more than a few walk into things!

Texting while driving. Even when just using a cellphone while driving people are oblivious to all the traffic around them, had a close call once while driving 70mph on the highway, luckily my husband was driving and we're still alive to talk about it. That woman was in her own little world, swerving over the white lines like a drunk.

I'm a geezer. I use the electric carts at the stores. You don't realize how big those stores are when you can't walk that far. What irks me is when people use those carts and leave them in the parking lot. Yeah, it's a pain to take stuff out of the cart, put 'em into a regular cart; then huff & puff getting the regular cart back to your car. They are NOT getting recharged in the parking lot. NOR are they getting any dryer sitting out in the rain. But it XXXXing me off when I have to use an almost dead, left in the rain cart. You know you are going to be in the mens' dept. -the furthest dept. from the front door, when the cart dies!!!!! So you know why I'm screaming about those SOBs.

what irks me is people dont watch their little ones ---this women gets off the elevator and keeps walking- if my daughter and myself hadnt been standing there the door would have closed and dragged the little girl down the elevator shaft

Vaping in a place of business and then arguing that it's it's a right.....

It's a 'right' for the vaper if the business owner allows it ... however, altho' I've been a vaper for 5yrs now, it annoys me when I see them blowing huge clouds of steam, makes the rest of us look bad, I compare those folk to young hoons doing doughnuts with their cars, totally unnecessary

Off the top of my head i cannot think of anything. If i dislike what someone is doing i remove myself from the situation.

The store I use will put your computer ordered groceries into your car. No need for you to get out of your car.

Anyone that came with me to my doctor's appointment who butts in and answers questions asked only me by my doctor.
