What's the best part of your day?

Being retired gives us the freedom to enjoy each day in whatever way we want. Even so, most of us fall into some sort of a routine.
From the time you get up in the morning to the time you crawl back under the covers, what is the best part of your day.
For me it's sitting quietly in the morning with a fresh cup of hot coffee. If I can sit outside in the morning sun all the better.

I relish the mornings, always have, still out of bed at 5:15 AM almost every day and get moving right away.

But....after a lifetime of very poor sleep, now that I'm divorced, retired and relaxed I love going to bed! The last few years I have slept better than ever before, so that moment when I shut the light off, pull the blankets up tight and close my eyes is absolute bliss. I love knowing I'm actually going to fall asleep, and even though I still wake up several times a night I always fall back to sleep.

So 10:00 PM has become my little joy.lol

From about 2 or 3pm until around 6 or 7. That's when my pain meds peak and I can get busy doing what I like and what needs to get done. The yard gets cared for, house gets clean, maybe a meal gets started, the free-roam cats get fed, some wood gets sanded or stained and some nails hammered, groceries get bought, and sometimes my bike gets ridden.

But the best of the best parts of my day are when Michelle gets home from work and then from school. That's when I get lots of hugs and kisses and conversation and laughs.

Very early morning…..around 5 or 5:30.
As many of you, quiet coffee on the deck, when weather allows….seeing the sun rise, hearing Mother Natures’ treasures.
I am most productive in the mornings, getting chores, etc. done…..then fun things.
As the day is ending……watching the sun set…..watching stars and what ever is in the sky.

It’s got to be first thing in the morning. Where my chair is, I can watch the beautiful sunrises. It is also my quiet time when me and my God meet and greet each other for a few psalms and bible readings. Out to the kitchen about 7:30 to make coffee for Thelma and me. Love my quiet mornings.
