What's with all these drug recalls lately

From what I've read in numerous places, pharmaceutical companies get funding from the FDA.. so the FDA is pressured to approve drugs before they're adequately tested.

sorry- I made mistake- meant to say the pharma companies provide funding TO the FDA.
