What's with tea bags lately

They either split or pull apart, releasing the leaves into the drink. If I wanted that, I get loose leaf tea.

Yeah, what brand? I drink tea all day long and haven't had any bag problems.

(I can't stand Lipton's. worst tea on the planet)

Maybe their bags used to come from China but now the ship is stuck in a port, so they had to find even cheaper ones.

Maybe their quality control person took a nap.

Or maybe the bag stapler broke down and they had to staple on those little strings by hand while it was being repaired.

I have had issues with other brands recently as well... so you are not alone ... it is odd that some are fine others are really falling apart.

I haven't noticed that but my teabags are a few months old. At least you can read your fortune. My grandma was great at that. She had no idea what they meant but she could make up a story that would keep me interested for a good half hour.

When I was a tea drinker I liked to brew my own. Yum, the aroma was sensational.

I use bagged tea for iced-tea, but for my hot tea rituals I use various combinations of loose-leaf. My favorite combo is winter-grey or anis, English black, lots of ginger and a bit of orange rind. Smells so nice!

@debodun I never saw a cup like that. My grandma would have gone crazy with that. She would have been able to tell you everything you need to know about the cup and then some. She was a great story teller.
