What's your favorite piece of exercise equipment?

My alpine ski equipment. It's not that great an aerobic workout (except on powder days), but skiing works the legs, core and challenges your mobility, flexibility, reaction time, and balance continuously. I guess being active at higher elevations, surrounded by incredible views, meeting some good people and feeling content are some other benefits. It's also a sport where learning should never stop so there is an intellectual component to it. It's a challenge to be met, but it'll never be conquered.

I have 7 exercise pieces in front of a TV. Each piece serves a different purpose and is equally important to maintaining body flexibility. However, my 2 hours of daily walking with my 3 Boxer dogs neglects my arm muscles. So, I am using dumbbells and equipment that strengthen my arms. When it's raining or is too cold outside, then I am using more my treadmill. Bottom line, I am emphasizing different pieces at different times. BTW, a ski accident crushed my 5th vertebra, falling off a tree tore loose 3 of my 4 tendons in my right shoulder, and an Achilles tendon repair caused me to slightly limp that eventually caused some damage to tendons and muscles in my left hip. But all that does not deter me from carrying on a relatively pain free and healthy life. At 87, I am doing everything right to make it at least another 13 years. My orthopedic surgeon assured me that health wise I am in the top 10% of guys my age. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1970 and credit my dozen-plus flawless surgeries for staying healthy. My family physician, Dr. Craig, is fabulous. The bottom picture was taken 3 months ago.DSC00077.JPG2022-12-27 hiking.jpeg

You completely put me to shame. That’s a lot of exercise especially for an 87 year old.

My favourite piece of exercise equipment has to be my treadmill which I use on rainy days however I prefer to go outside to walk more.

VERY! I can’t wait for spring since I have some huge outdoor projects to do. One of them might take me a couple of spring/ summers to complete but WILL be so rewarding.
I guess if there's one redeeming factor about living in Florida, it's my garden. (y)
Tomatoes, strawberries, radish, lettuce, and carrots coming along.

I’m seriously jealous right now. I’d show you my garden but it’s covered with about 8 inches of snow right now.😤lol
Look at those strawberry plants. They look huge for this time of year. What’s the white stuff on your tomato plants? And is that lettuce growing beside the strawberries?

Seven dust on the maters, just in case. Right past the strawberries is the lettuce (just starting to grow. same with the carrots). Radish is growing off to the right but not really in the picture.

I just ordered a recumbent bike, and I am looking forward to using it once it arrives. We have a regular exercise bike, but it is hard for me to get up on the seat, even as low as it will go, so I seldom use it.
I really would like to have an actual 3-wheel adult trike, but I need to build up the leg muscles to where i can ride one finstead, and I think that this exercise bike will help with that.
It looks like I can use it in the evening and exercise when I am reading on my ipad, instead of just sitting and reading. It is a Marcy recumbent bike and is one of the cheapest ones i found on Amazon.

My legs.

Seems that is all I need most of the time to exercise. Whether that be walking, running, sprinting, swimming. Although admittedly upper body seems to get a workout when swimming.

The rain is good exercise equipment too. It's amazing how much faster I move when it's raining. :)

I had to check this post twice to make sure I hadn't inadvertently created a typo. As in typing 'swinging' instead of swimming. That wouldn't have been right at all, or accurate.

I would think that walking those 3 big boxers would give you plenty of arm exercise!

my legs making sure there is some uphill areas to walk to get the heart rate up
( I use a Apple Watch for my guide )

Also we still dance 2-3 times a week ( new vogue / old time social / ballroom dancing )
which Is not only good for keeping up the strength in our legs / body it keeps our brains ticking along nicely due to having to remember the steps.
