oatmeal. I get patchy dry skin around my nose/eyes and ears.. I use eucerin. put it on and i am good for a couple months
That sounds nice to me. I think I will try it, if I get a chance to.I find coconut oil good for cleansing and moisturizing facial skin. I press a warm washcloth over my face, then gently rub a generous amount of coconut oil in, massaging my entire face, even eyelids and lips. Then I soak the washcloth with warm water, wring it out, and gently wipe the coconut oil off, rinsing the cloth frequently. You must be sure to remove all of the oil. If you try it, you will be amazed at refreshed your skin will feel!
@carouselsilver, I do use coconut oil, but not on the face the way you've described it. I think I'll try that — thanks!I find coconut oil good for cleansing and moisturizing facial skin. I wasn't trying to imply anything (and I use the "wow" icon just to say "wow"). I just hadn't thought of it, and thus my surprise. That said, thanks for the tip.@Devi
I am wondering, and curious why, you had posted a surprised/shocked icon, in response to my post#2 in this thread?
You haven't heard of applying skin moisturizers, in general, immediately following a bath or shower?
I am not sure whether the warm water opens the pores, or if the water is trapped under the applied oil, but I do know that it does work much better for me, when done with that timing, rather than in between to my dry skin.
I use organic, but I don't think it makes a difference, unless they add something to it.That sounds nice to me. I think I will try it, if I get a chance to.
Could I use any type of coconut oil, from the grocery store?
Yes. I haven't seen a "coconut oil for external use only", at least so far. Organic is good.Thank you for the reply, @carouselsilver
I think the one I could get is organic, but meant for foods, but the same item, right?

I had not heard of it before, (don't think it's advertised)E45. It's widely advertised in the UK. Can you get it in the US?
