When A Food Article Explodes Your Taste Bud Memories.

Perhaps you've had something trigger meal memories in a big way. I had one this morning while perusing newswires. It hit my memories like a freight train hits a semi stuck on the tracks - Meine Damen und Herren, Schweinsaxe mit Biersoße:

That would be pigs knuckle/hock with beer sauce. Shades of Bavaria and South Chicago! It's been over 45 years. Any long forgotten food or dish ever hit you like that?

No (way back in the time machine) memories of such, but I did prepare a beef brisket a couple of months back that was to die for, with my husband is still talking about it and wanting me to prepare another.

Served up with the brisket was baby potatoes and a red and white cabbage salad with a yogurt and cider vinegar dressing to offset the sweetness of the brisket.
