I listen to someone else's troubles. I wind up thinking, that's what you consider a problem? After that. I'm feeling myself again.
I usually get up and danceWatch clips of great dancing.. Fred and Ginger are a fave... Gene Kelly ... Mikhail Baryshnikov ... “L’Chaim” or “Matchmaker” from Fiddler on the Roof... I feel better already![]()

I'm the same...I don't get 'down' but do struggle with my mixture of emotions and having no one close to share them with other than close friends and one lives in another county and we contact via texting but rarely now due to her health. My Family are all so busy so I keep my feelings undercover for the most part.
Hopefully you can let out some of your feelings on the forum. A lot of times we just have to let it OUT!!!!I don't get 'down' but do struggle with my mixture of emotions and having no one close to share them with other than close friends and one lives in another county and we contact via texting but rarely now due to her health. My Family are all so busy so I keep my feelings undercover for the most part.
Same here, listening to music. Love my musicThe thing that gets me down mostly is pain (as I am currently ) , or if my daughter is suffering emotionally or physically, otherwise I'm usually in a good mood ... so I take a drive to somewhere else and take photos, and come home and spend time organising them...if I'm unable to leave the house then music will always help lift my mood... and I have music playing now as I type.
I have a shop...I get back to happy thereMaybe the question for you is what do you do to feel better when you are mad?
I am just the opposite... I will tell you my life story if you will listen...lol I don't mind hearing what others are going through and I will share what I am going through as well and we come up with a solution for us both on whatever the situation is. My motto is..if there is a problem, there is a SOLUTION!!!! I focus on solutions, not problems.. my problems will remain problems and may get worst until I find a solution. I have a best friend where we collaborate a lot when we are facing problems in our life. It helps soooo much to have people in our life that don't mind lending a listening ear. However, I understand some people are not looking for a solution, they just need to vent.Ditto , you're first paragraph CJ... I'm exactly the same... spooky....
I just feel that no-one is interested in my problems, and I'm pretty sure they're not... so I keep everything to myself and only have a little moan on here sometimes when things get really bad, and then I underplay them
Same here, I am normally in a good mood. I have been doing a lot of inner self work...helps a LOT. However, I have been moving through grief due to what happen to my sister...so I have a lot of down days but there are good days in between.I am in a good mood 99% of the time, But if I do feel blue, I listen to music and write in my journal. I can usually figure out what exactly is bothering me by journaling. Getting outside helps me too. So a walk around the park across the street or down the street makes me happy. Usually my bf cheers me up even if I don't see him that day. We talk on the phone a lot daily. I stay busy most of the day though and feeling down usually comes when I am not doing something.
Thank you so much. Yes, it is very tough...it brings out past unresolved issues. I have a wonderful counselor that I have been seeing for about 6 years when my brother passed away. All in all, I do have some good days. Thanks again.Sorry about your sister. Grief is tough. I hope it gets better for you, Ladybj.
