I have a happy soul as well Gary O... but I have my days. Maybe the question for you is what do you do to feel better when you are mad? I rarely get mad.. I get even... LOL.. Just kidding. But I rarely get mad. Get a bit upset, YES.

I don't get 'down' but do struggle with my mixture of emotions and having no one close to share them with other than close friends and one lives in another county and we contact via texting but rarely now due to her health. My Family are all so busy so I keep my feelings undercover for the most part.
Hopefully you can let out some of your feelings on the forum. A lot of times we just have to let it OUT!!!!

The thing that gets me down mostly is pain (as I am currently ) , or if my daughter is suffering emotionally or physically, otherwise I'm usually in a good mood ... so I take a drive to somewhere else and take photos, and come home and spend time organising them...if I'm unable to leave the house then music will always help lift my mood... and I have music playing now as I type.

Same here, listening to music. Love my music🎼🕺

The trouble is, is that I look okay and capable; take care of my self and my looks. Have a smile and laugh ready in company and even out and about. Looks are deceiving sometimes. I dont ask for help unless its urgent and cope well since being on my own...just have to get on with life, eh.

I do find SF a nice place to be with Threads that invite posts from folk who need a bit of support in various ways. What makes a forum imo is Members being pleasant and kind to eachother whether new members or long standing ones and this is really good.☺

The 14 cord is an indication of how often my temper flares

But, hey....I'm Irish

Thing is, hardly anyone knows when I get angry....until it's waaay too late

Wise folks scatter
The less than wise tend to suffer a bit

Only my lady knows when I begin to simmer, even when smiling......guess it's the eyes..she sez they get dark

I am in a good mood 99% of the time, But if I do feel blue, I listen to music and write in my journal. I can usually figure out what exactly is bothering me by journaling. Getting outside helps me too. So a walk around the park across the street or down the street makes me happy. Usually my bf cheers me up even if I don't see him that day. We talk on the phone a lot daily. I stay busy most of the day though and feeling down usually comes when I am not doing something.

Ditto , you're first paragraph CJ... I'm exactly the same... spooky....

I just feel that no-one is interested in my problems, and I'm pretty sure they're not... so I keep everything to myself and only have a little moan on here sometimes when things get really bad, and then I underplay them
I am just the opposite... I will tell you my life story if you will listen...lol I don't mind hearing what others are going through and I will share what I am going through as well and we come up with a solution for us both on whatever the situation is. My motto is..if there is a problem, there is a SOLUTION!!!! I focus on solutions, not problems.. my problems will remain problems and may get worst until I find a solution. I have a best friend where we collaborate a lot when we are facing problems in our life. It helps soooo much to have people in our life that don't mind lending a listening ear. However, I understand some people are not looking for a solution, they just need to vent.

Same here, I am normally in a good mood. I have been doing a lot of inner self work...helps a LOT. However, I have been moving through grief due to what happen to my sister...so I have a lot of down days but there are good days in between.
