When I was 21 ... Days Gone By

At my apartment in downtown Columbus Georgia where I worked as a draftsman for Golden's Foundry & Machine Co.
Mom and dad had driven over from out of town to visit ... mom brought cake !!!

Coors was a luxury item back then and not sold east of the Mississippi. Knew an over the road trucker.
And it tasted different when they did start selling nationwide.

20 yrs. old .. at work Xmas party with married co-worker, Romeo. Yep, that was his name!

Ok........ Me at 20. Had my first close up meeting with a Vietnamese fellow armed with a knife... (he lost).
Me at 23 when the best thing in my life came about. (still is)
Me at 26 when one learns what hell and the devil look like close up... (He also lost... that fight anyway).

Back in the day one had to be 21 to drink booze. So for my 21st birthday I wanted Champaign. DH bought me a bottle and as my luck would have it I hated the stuff!

The Black & White head shot is from my 22nd Birthday. First hubby whom i was living with at the time took me to see 2001: A Space Odyssey after a picnic in the park The Color shot is inside Diamond Head Crater, June of 1971 so i was 2 months shy of 25. There used be (maybe still is) a Music Festival inside the crater every June.
