When the virus dissapates, will you avoid going to places where there are large crowds?

We may all be hunkering down for a long while-most probably for the month of April. Is this a learning experience about virus and germ infestations? Do you think you are going to be gun shy about getting back into the groove? When the virus dissipates, will you avoid going places where there are large crowds? How about masks and gloves?

There are many types of illnesses that can be spread and that is the way it is and will always will be, I’m not going to hide in my house indefinitely and I’m sure most of us do not want to remain in quarantine so here’s some words of wisdom from my darling mommy, wash your hands with soap and water, keep your hands away from your face, cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough, and don’t hug or kiss someone who is ill, if folks would just use these old fashioned simple practices it would reduce illness significantly...it is not rocket science.

Speaking the Truth, and nothing but the Truth. Thank you for your wisdom. Grew up with the same wise teachings. Just because when the doors open again, doesn't give the ticket to run wild, caution had always proved beneficial, always will i hope. Have never been one for crowds, so no difference for me there.

Well, we want to go home....Have to wait for my son to get us...Probably in early May....(It's a long story)….
We need to go home to our other home....It's 5 states away....So we are trying to sit still....We love our cottage
but we love our family the most....
My daughter is setting up a virtual Sunday meet for our family...Sometimes it's hard, we all have different type cell phones.
We have always been all together on Easter Sunday....(We are all in this)…..Be Well, everyone.....♥

I never loved crowds, shopping, big events, or traffic - but, I miss hugging. That will return, but I will probably run temperature checks on the huggee before I do. I think lc jones's mother nailed it. The masks will drop only when the majority of top scientists say it's okay.

I never liked large crowds, so that won't change for me at all. I'll have to see what's going on when the virus threat subsides, listen to the people who know and then make my own judgement on how to proceed. If there's nothing to fear, I won't be wearing gloves or masks. I haven't worn a mask yet, since I haven't been out near people yet, like in the supermarket.

Before the virus, I steered clear of someone who was coughing and sneezing in public, I used wipes on shopping carts when available, I washed my hands immediately when I came home from a shopping trip, hair salon, library, park, etc. I'll continue to be smart about hygiene, haven't had a cold or flu in years, and want to keep it that way. If I can avoid this virus, I'll be very relieved, I can only hope if I do get it, the symptoms will be mild.

I have been giving a lot of thought about this. My wife and I had tickets to go to New York City to see the Philharmonic Orchestra play at Lincoln Center for our anniversary this month, but like everything else, it has been cancelled.

We go up to NYC about three times a year to see a concert or a play. My wife likes us to dress to the nines, so that means I have to wear my tux. We generally stay at Trump Towers, but they even have closed some floors.

This isn’t something we are going to rush right out and do as soon as the ban is lifted. It may not even be this year, but then again, we do have tickets for the Orchestra’s Christmas show, so maybe.

Hope you get to go to your other home soon, can only imagine how much you miss your loved ones.

I know, I know, we're the "older" folks but if it becomes a common thing for the younger ones, fifty and below, to run screaming from germs and viruses we are setting up the human race to have no immunity or strength to fight disease and are doomed to be heading toward extinction even faster than we are already.

We have 2 kids over fifty....

Nothing much will change with me. I wash my hands every time I come from the grocery story even before the virus surfaced. I will have lunch with my girlfriends and spend time out with my daughter. I am not too fond of very large crowds. If I feel I am coming down with a cold, I fix a hot toddy which works GREAT. Hubby bought cough medicine to keep in the medicine cabinet but Hot Toddy works for me.
