When you don't hit the clubs anymore

I've been shopping when music was so loud and obnoxious was playing that I can hardly wait to finish and leave. And I've been there on other occasions when they played an old song that pulled at my emotions and only made me feel blue. I wish NO music was played in supermarkets or other stores, unless they ressurect what we used to call "elevator" music - soft instrumental, but I do not see any possibility of that ever happening.
