Where Do You Get Your Best Advice From?

I would have to say I first get it online then often consult someone like a doctor or other professional. I don't always follow the dr.'s advice either as I listen to most. Ultimately, I make my decisions, though, and sometimes my best advice comes from me.

So, how about you?

In discussion with the gf, we usually work out good directions to take in dealing with various options facing us in life. As far as medical advice, the internet gives me more information about a given issue I may have, than my current MD. I usually give him info he wasn't aware of. Same thing went on with my MD before my current one. I'm a very thorough researcher, as opposed to my doctors lacking in knowledge.

Depends on the type of advice I need. :D
Ditto....YouTube.. Wife...

I have several.

Home maintenance, car troubles, I go to my son
Finances, I go to my hubby or my cousin
Redecorating, anything to do with colors and patterns and someone I can go to with a personal problem I go to my sister in law.
My daughter is great at handling and getting results from problems regarding bills, computers, companies and services.

I listen then make up my own mind but if it is something I know nothing about I'm confident these people will give me sound advice.

Lately, in the aftermath of my husband's passing, my best advice has come from my brother. He did my computer research for me and helped me out with things I needed to do in settling his estate.
In general, day to day things, the internet and this forum have helped me to at least move in the right direction. In the next few months it will be time to do some car shopping. I will rely on You Tube videos about cars I am interested in. And basically asking people I know to have the knowledge I need.

Medical advice I get from my doctor, anything else I go straight to my daughter, she is so calm, level headed and sensible I sometimes can’t believe I gave birth to her

My son first - especially if I’m upset - he gets me to calm down. But he gives great advice. Then my daughter who gives more analytical type advice. Dr. Google for medical stuff and to look up “what the heck is that?”. Finally the internet to explain findings on CTs and MRIs.

I get the best advice from my husband on many different things, he's very knowledgeable on many subjects, fair-minded and stable. I've also received some good advice from the folks on this forum, and from the internet in general. Info from the internet I get from different sources, don't take any advice from websites or youtube without a grain of salt. Pretty much research and draw my own conclusions.

Sounds great to me. I do similarly but first consult with me little bff doggy (kidding but I do talk to her a lot).

Wow, I love it that you have so many for advice and then make up your mind. I usually consult with a few others too before going online.

I think that's wonderful you go to your daughter. I doubt that my mother took much advice from me seriously.

I usually rely on my own knowledge or I look things up.
Medical- only my doctor.

I used to rely on a good friend, a tax attorney, to file my taxes, but don't need to anymore.
