Which do you like? Beard, Mustache or clean shaven?

Men or women, which is your preference? personally, I ADORE white or gray-white beards, I LOVE mustaches on men! But, of course, just seeing PICTURES of Vikings and Mountain men (with beards) melt me into a little puddle! Some women can't stand anything but clean shaven men.

What do YOU like best?

Oh! Gotta tell you a story! This is a TRUE story! Living in San Diego, a couple down the block were (happily) married for 8 years. EIGHT YEARS! She had never seen him without his beard. One day he shaved it off and said, "No more beard!" She HATED his face! She kicked him out. They divorced! Seriously! Makes you think. Is physical appearance all that's holding some people together?

I'm certain there has always been an element of truth surrounding marriage for all the wrong reasons, even back in the day, but I am absolutely 100% convinced that many-a marriage today is built solely on and around marriage for all the wrong reasons, hence the staggering divorce rates today.

Robin McGraw hated Dr. Phil’s look when he shaved off his beard one day and told him never to shave it off again but I don’t think she threatened divorce.

My guy sometimes is clean shaven, sometimes has a moustache and sometimes has a moustache and goatee and I like ALL the different looks. He had to shave his beard for his mask to fit.

This guy looks good to me! But he should also be kind, considerate, funny and smart!

My father had the most beautiful black and silver beard. My late husband started growing a beard the morning of his last day in the Army and it was fine with me. His hair and beard turned silver-white and all the little kids thought he was Santa. The Spousal Equivalent has a neatly cut white beard. My favorite brother-in-law has a beard. Two of my former brothers-in-law had beards. My son-in-law has one periodically.

It's a good thing I love beards, because I've been surrounded by them.
 
Back in the eighties, Dave grew a Tom Selleck mustache. I liked it, but I was glad when it was gone. When he retired a few years ago, he grew a beard and mustache. He likes it, so I'm OK with it. Whatever makes him happy makes me happy. My preference leans toward clean shaven, but actually the beard becomes him.
