Do you know the new "celebrities"? I used to know all the celebrities on the late night talk shows. I have no idea who this new crop of people are. These are some of the "stars" on this weeks's Tonight Show. Cordae, Fontaines D.C., Bridget Everett, and Jacob Elordi. Never heard of 'em. I feel like my parents when they asked which Beatle was Ringo.
 

I would have to agree with you....
I think the word celebrity has no meaning they slap it on anyone....

just like media if someone dies or gets arrested etc if MORE of the article is to explain who this person is/ was ........then what happened this person is NOT a celebrity.
maybe a d- list or below those were called extras in movies or tv

I don’t stay up for the late night shows any more and I frankly just don’t care who’s a celebrity these days.
Far cry from my early teen years when the girls and I would read about celebrities in movie mags and wish we’d meet one.

They don't sound familiar to me. Maybe if I saw their faces that would ring a bell, but I doubt it. I used to really like Dancing With The Stars for many years, except in the past couple of years. I don't know who those people are anymore, so I lost interest.

Happens to most of us, fuzzybuddy! In my case it is because I never watch/listen to rap or hip hop and many of these artists tend to be guests on the late shows. I usually turn off the shows after the host's original monologue! But there's more, there are new movie artists I do like but can never remember their names even though I recognize their faces.
 
I DVR the late night shows, but if there is someone I don't know I fast forward through the segment. I'm really only interested in the monologue. I have no idea who the "celebrities" are that you mentioned.
