Who on earth makes death threats?

There has been a big row going on about 'Strictly come Dancing', all about complaints of abusive aggressive behaviour from certain people taking part. Amanda Abbingdon has been discussing her awful experiences about threats she has received from people.

What gets me totally puzzled is that members of the public, strangers, or indeed anyone, should make death and rape threats in this way. What kind of a thing is that to do! It's ludicrous, stupid and evil. What is the matter with such people?
 

Oh, well. The Dixie Chicks or one of them, I don't remember, once reported a death threat: Somebody told them to drop dead. Hell, I get that all the time. That is not a death threat and calling it one is an abuse of the term.

I assume "Stricly........" is Brit game show. People make death threats all the time, and some of them mean it. My brother used to coach Pop Warner football. Most of the kids are between 7-10. He got phone death threats. threatening letters. His truck was vandalized, people threw garbage on his lawn. When people started to follow his wife and kids around, he quit. These were parents freaked out over a football game for kids. My brother said he could tolerate the death threats, but following his kids around was way too much. Not everybody is a docile, kind, sane, peace loving individual, and they're out there!

It's Strictly Come Dancing.. a British dance show... known as Dancing with the Stars once it began being shown in the USA

The row is about an actress contestant who accused the proffessional dancer of being aggressive towards her... he has subsequently been cleared of allegations but only after he was sacked by the BBC..

The accusing actress is the one allegedly receiving death threats. However this woman is known for making acusations which are not true.. for attention, , so this very well could be another one..

That is unbelievable, I just despair of human nature. My goodness, just over a sport!

Oh I see, there IS another side to this. I feel so sorry for the man who is now cleared. However, I still cannot believe that people can make such awful threats over a TV programme. It's just all so very nasty.

Aside from Care in the community so we have people who should be in a mental care faciility we also have people aong us who are acting like normal educated people. Take for example during the recent riots.. one woman the wife of a conservative MP.. and a Childminder..to immigrant children,,,

wrote this on her Twitter acount...to the rioters...


"Mass deportation now, set fire to all the f**king hotels full of the bastards for all I care..''

This is a woman to all intents and purposes she's an upstanding member of the community... but her hidden extreme racist nature has been uncovered now...




What's even more of a concern is that her. husband is making all sorts of excuses for her.. as she is herself...

My point being that she is just one of thousands hidden in plain sight, who are the type to be doling out death threats ....

It is a chilling thought.
 
Until those controlling telecom technology implement ways to publicly identify emotional pinheads and deployed armies of bots making such threats, all that will increase because as is, there are no consequences.
 
“Winning by intimidation” has become all too prevalent in many facets of American society, hand-in-hand with the belief that winning is everything. The emotional intensity that surrounds many sporting events, even those of children, is frightening.

In politics, one no longer has the better arguments, but seeks to ridicule or demonize the opposition, and failing in that, sends their eager goons out to threaten and/or attack them.- -Lose? So much for being gracious in defeat, the election was rigged! And remember to accuse opponents of what you yourself are guilty of doing…
