Some seem to change on a daily basis as to which programs and what time slots they air. Others hardly ever change - I must have seem reruns of the same shows 50 times on some stations.
Why do some cable stations change their schedule so often and others don't?

My cable network has an “on line” program guide, but even that is not reliable. Sometimes at a listed time and channel, the guide comes up “to be announced,” which is no help at all. At other times, the program listed is not the one being aired. Sports programs often seem to have complete license to run over their scheduled times, delaying regular programming or knocking it off altogether...
