Her Dell Windows 10 PC didn't qualify for the upgrade to Windows 11 and time is running out for security updates for 10. Since I've been an Apple fan since 2005, and she really likes her iPhone (13), she chose to go with the Apple MacBook Pro. Honestly, it wasn't easy keeping from influencing her decision in any way.
Took her to Best Buy, showed her the Apple and Windows laptops and asked if she wanted to think on it for a few days. Nope, said she wanted to go with the MacBook Pro. I was thrilled but kept my enthusiasm in check don't ya know
. Surprisingly, she's picking it up pretty quickly. Some differences between her old PC and the MacBook she likes but not all, though she feels confident she'll adapt and be a Mac aficionado in no time. Time will tell but I have my fingers crossed she'll like it as much as I do.
