My oven on my kitchenaid range hasn't been working for months. I had already gone out and bought a toaster oven instead.

Today. I opened the oven door (which I have been using for storage) and the light came on.

So I checked the electronic panel and its working.

The only thing I can think of is a power failure we had last night and it must have reset the electronic panel.

But the good news is that a service call is $70.00 minimum and the part that I suspected is no longer available.

Oh well. Go out and buy a lottery ticket and a roast of beef and celebrate.

I'm happy for you Camper6. It happens. The light on our stove top that goes on when a burner is still warm kept staying on, no matter what. We had someone come in to look at it and he found nothing wrong, but couldn't make it go off. Then a few weeks later, it turned off and operates correctly for many months now.

Yes, you should go buy a lottery ticket and a good sandwich. No lottery here because it's a severe no gambling state, but we keep trying.

Same thing happened to me with our Wall Oven. We had a big thunderstorm with lightening and there was a big clap of thunder and our power went out for a while. The next time I tried the oven it didn't work and I thought that it had been fried by lightening. But I got the book out and saw some instructions on how to reset it, so I tried that and it worked.

Well we have gambling here now and it's legal. But it's not a blessing.

At one time I never gambled but then they made it legal and we got a casino and I started gambling and got addicted to it.

If you treat it like entertainment and a night out, it's fine. But I'm not that kind of person. Compulsive nature.. I have to keep an eye on myself. I have a sign above a mirror when I come in. It says "SELF DISCIPLINE".

Now they have introduced legal marijuana. I'm not going to even look at it.

I think marijuana is a good way to dumb down the population. There is no way to keep it from minors and smoking is the same.

Hey that's great stuff. A blessing in disguise.

I notice now that a lot of electronics don't supply a manual with the appliance. Just had a new t.v. given to me by a friend.

I had to download the manual from the internet.

There's one thing that I won't do anymore and that is use the self clean feature. The temperature to clean the oven goes to 750 degrees or so and you can screw things up easily. Much better to clean as you go.

And it locks the oven door and I couldn't get it open after one cleaning.

No, I don't go for casino type gambling, either. You know, even bingo at church where you have to pay and is considered for fund raising is forbidden. What they do (and a female taxi driver told me this) is you pay to play bingo but everyone wins a prize (so it's not considered gambling) but only one or two win the big ones. And she and a friend go around to different churches playing bingo.

Anyway, all I want is a lottery. I know there's a downside to that, too, when it becomes compulsive and you use your whole paycheck to play. But it would be kind of nice.

A lottery and scratch tickets at grocery stores? That's another thing.

My friend told me it used to cost him a couple of dollars for a quart of milk. Now it's $4.00 because he always picks up a scratch ticket.

Regarding the gambling and lotteries and raffles.
I like winning, even if the prize is not very valuable.
I just like hearing my number called

Australia? I heard Australians love gambling. The story is two Australians will bet on two raindrops coming down a window.
