Willie Mays is gone

I`m happy to see this posted! I wondered if he just wasn`t so well known outside of the San Francisco Bay Area,so I didn`t post it. I watched him play at Candlestick many times when I was a kid-my dad would always take me to games when he was given tickets and had nobody else able to go with him lol. Probably a good thing he did as I grew to love baseball from that and at 15 met the "man of my dreams" who, was ,and to this day, is, a huge baseball fan. Played Little League (Pitcher),high school and ault softball until he was 50. Our son attended his first game at 5 days old lol.

Another great who is getting up there is Willie McCovey. He lives in the same small town where we lived and raised our kids. Super, super nice man who would sign a baseball for any kid that asked. Our son still has the ball that Willie signed for him at age 10.
