Willie Nelson's 90th birthday concert

The local PBS station aired Willie Nelson's 90th birthday concert this weekend, The entire concert itself was so well done, so many wonderful musicians performing.
I had never heard of Beck, but took notice of his performance at Willie Nelson's 90th birthday concert(December 17, 2023) at the Hollywood Bowl.

Beck just pours his heart into the music, a natural cure for dry eye. Anyway, Beck:

Willie Nelson's son Lucas performed Angel Flying Too Close to The Ground. Lucas Nelson looks just like his daddy, sounds like him too. Not a bad thing.
This song has special meaning-
After years of touring with his own band, Lukas begins rewriting “Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground” — not for the stage, but to whisper it to his father, each lyric filled with love, gratitude, and a quiet promise: “I'll be your wings, Dad, if the day ever comes when you forget how to fly.

This video clip is not from Willie Nelson's birthday concert program, apparently the media content vultures grabbed the "rights" and got it locked up, but here is from a Lucas Nelson performance in Brazil:

Even though he changed the tempo, he improved on the original. I liked this artist's version much better than the 1976 Willie Nelson recording. This is country music the way if used to be; should be - steel guitar and all.

[I was composing this post as another song appeared I haven't yet listened to. These comments are in regard to the OP.]

it's funny that you mentioned the steel guitar, all throughout the concert I could hear the steel guitar, but I never caught a glimpse of it.
Finally saw the steel guitar & musician in Beck's Hands on the Wheel video clip.

I never liked that song, but his son made it his own; very nice.

I saw his 90th 2 years ago.... I'm a huge fan of Willie Nelson... but I've watched him recently.. and he really need to just step away from the stage. His voice has gone, it's reedy..thin... shaky.... it' a shame but getting to 90 and still on stage is a massive achievement.. it wouldn't happen with women..... people seem to tolearte older male singers than they do older female...

He's 92 now, he's suffers from Emphysema among other conditions... time for him to just let his sons take over.. on stage
