Wisconsin City Mulls Dumping Old Ban on Throwing Snowballs

Snow ball fights ruled illegal. "Snow balls don't hurt people, people do."
Making snowmen should also be illegal as they may abuse children and poison puppy dogs.

Actually, I have mixed feelings about snowballs. I remember, clearly, the snowball fights I had as a kid on Chicago's South Side. In the hands of guys who were ace Little League pitchers and outfielders, a snowball could do some serious damage on impact on an intended target's person. I got hit in the face, during a snowball fight, at around ten years old, and that was it, for me. Screw that!

Thereafter, I did keep throwing snowballs at cars, but then a target owner went to my elementary school principal, and my buddies and I were busted! My mom had to come to school, and we had our meeting with the principal. Bummer! No more snowball throwing, thereafter, except at close range with loosely packed, powdery snow, and usually with girls who were hitting on me or vice versa. Make love, not snowballs!

Have you never been sitting quietly in your lounge and had a snowball thrown at your window? Are you aware of what a loud thump it makes? It could give an old person a heart attack. A snowball fight with friends is fun, but throwing them at strangers, windows and cars, is causing a nuisance and should be an offence.
