Woman nearly stomped by moose in Colorado

The moose seemed to know how stupid she was & felt sorry for her.
It's surprising how much animals know. I have video (too graphic to show) of some guys poaching alligators. They went after a baby gator & the mother bumped the boat, causing one guy to fall in the water. The gator tore him apart while his "buddies" videotaped - complete with screams......

When I lived in Alaska, there were SO MANY stories of tourists pointing a camera at a grizzly, and before they could even focus, the bear was on them, eating them. Almost daily, I'd hear stories of people being hauled off by a bear and buried, even breaking into motorhomes! Bears, and moose seem so gentle but these are 2000 lb. animals. (not cartoon animals)

We lived in Anchorage in the mid '80s. During those years there would be a couple of reports of people being killed in the state by bear or moose each year, which amazed me considering the frequency with which we would see tourists doing utterly stupid things around the animals. Lots of great stories of human/animal encounters though.

We never saw bear around our home, but moose were regular visitors. The children were very young and we told them that when moose were in the yard they were to come up onto the deck. Moose tend to be pretty laid back unless they're interfered with. Incidents occur when people are either foolish or very unlucky, i.e accidentally coming between a cow and her calf or startling a bull during the fall rut.

I don't feel sorry for these people at all. When the hubby and I visited Yellowstone National Park so many people got out of their cars to film and one even tried to touch the Bison.
These people are so stupid,I feel bad for the animals, they are the ones that suffer. If one kills or injures someone the animal is usually put to death and I bet the people who do it enjoy every minute of it.
I saw this happen in my own state with a bear.
A man was killed. Later on they found his phone with photos of him taunting the bear before the attack.
Men were called in to kill the bear.
They were so itchy to get in to shoot the bear they couldn't stand still. Made me sick.

I was attacked by a mama camel once. I approached her baby to take a picture and she took offense. She chased me across the way and down into a ditch. I couldn't get up the other side and she caught me. She got me by the upper arm and gave me quite the chomp. Luckily, their teeth aren't much to speak of and she just left a good-sized bruise.

Yeah, I'm stupid. But the camel herders sure thought it was funny.

Most people don't realize the speed and ferocity of many animals does not register till you see it. Where I live I am constantly looking and listening, paying attention to my dog. This area is their home. My BBQ has been thrown around a few times by a bear or bears. The best was a full grown moose looking in my Kitchen window, he was incredible, with absolutely no fear. Love it.

If you have cute little deer running around your property, they can be quite formidable killers. During the rut season ,late in the year, bucks are extremely sensitive to keeping their "females" together. If they feel you are about to take a female, bucks become extremely aggressive. They call out at you, paw the ground with their hooves, snort, and wave their racks.. When this occurs, you know it, so get out of the area, immediately. Bucks can gore you with their antlers, but most probably slice, and stomp you to death with their hooves. I have first hand knowledge of this.

People have this idea that if they act freindly, well, that big fury animal will be friendly, too. Ya know, most animals don't go to finishing school.
