They were smooth to the touch, and didn't chip. They lasted forever, with their small details intact; must have been a very hard source material.

Small sizes, so not too heavy. An interesting appearance, and a pleasing-feeling surface to hold or touch.

This thread brought back the memory of them. They obviously fascinated me, as a young person.
