Amanuensis (noun) - a literary or artistic assistant, in particular one who takes dictation or copies manuscripts.

Some well-known authors are known to dictate their manuscripts to an amanuensis.

The job title amanuensis sounds much classier than scribe or secretary!

I used to take dictation when I was working as a secretary. If anybody had called me an Amanuensis (if they were even able to pronounce it) I would have been insulted. I would never use that word.
