Word of the Day - Antipelargy

Antipelargy, I think, is often used to describe the special feelings that many people have, toward aging parents, that made us want to take care of them (as reciprocal, for theirs. )

Though I have sadly noticed, that many younger adults, (even some of those who had been very well-loved) do not seem to feel any of that.

To give back, to older parents,
is likely why that word has the prefix, anti-

even though in this case, the prefix doesn't have the usual "
against" meaning.
I find word roots very interesting, :giggle:
as well as the concepts they convey and symbolize.:geek::rolleyes:;):)
