Sooooo. Up until now, I believe I'd been picturing the angels singing something called a herald (sort of like a carol.) When It appears that the angels themselves were a special type know as herald angels whose main purpose was to sing about great, upcoming events. Cool.

I don't know what a herald of coming snow would be but I'm looking for one. The Farmer's Almanac lists one in their article, Snow Lore – What signs point to snow?, as If there is thunder in winter, it will snow seven days later.
