The word has been used by several politicians, it's “Malinformation.” Not misinformation or disinformation.

The word means something that is true, but whoever is speaking it doesn’t want you to know what it is. For example: the great Hunter laptop mystery. It was true, but because it could harm a group, it was not allowed to be spoken about, so classifying it as misinformation or disinformation was OK.

It’s not really all that new.

The prefix "mal" indicates bad.
Not sure if it means bad info as in false, or about bad things.

word-forming element of Latin origin meaning "bad, badly, ill, poorly, wrong, wrongly," from French mal (adv.), from Old French mal (adj., adv.) "evil, ill, wrong, wrongly"
