Good! Perhaps the lack of sufficient Internet in some of these Asian nations will begin to reduce the quantity of Spam phone calls. Here, in the U.S. there are probably millions of routine office jobs that employees could easily handle while "working at home". If this virus shows companies the savings of doing so, perhaps we will see a reduction in traffic related pollution, etc.
The growth in AI is going to soon show the world the largest threat to humanity....Overpopulation. Presently, about 20% of the global population lives at or near poverty levels....and that number is only going to increase as the birth rates continue to climb....especially among those already living on the edge.
I join those who predict that there is going to be a global war between the Have's and the Have Not's....probably well before this century is over. A few years ago, the UN did a study that showed the maximum sustainable population to be less than 6 billion.....we are already well over 7 billion, should reach 9 billion by 2050, and 12 billion by 2100. None of us will live to see it, but I dread the world my Grandkids, and beyond, will be faced with.
