Workplace shenanigans seem to be everywhere.

I always worked in a hospital. Talk about "passion pits". This married guy was going with this other guy's wife. This nurse was playing "doctor" with this social worker. I remember a staff meeting of 6 people, and 4 were having affairs. I think this happens in any large business. What do you think? Do you know of any workplace shenanigans?

I'm not sure that high of a percentage is the norm.

I could tell some stories. I'll give you this one. I moved back from the US to the UK, and the first job I had was with a small IT business in London - 30 employees. Working long hours has never been a problem for me, but these guys were on another level. They'd do a lot of business in the pub, and those drinking sessions would go on into the early hours. Day after day. They'd be drinking all that time, but be back at work, promptly at 8:00am ready to do it again.

I stayed with them for three weeks, but by then I was really feeling it. One evening I pulled the guy who hired me aside and said, "I don't know how you guys do this, the long hours, the alcohol, and back the next day. I'm really struggling." He simply smiled, put his hand in his pocket, and pulled out a small bag of powder. He handed it to me with a smile and went back to his drinking. Needless to say, I quit soon after.

Read the book Not Just Friends. It’s an eye opener. Women can be as bad as men. A few years ago a guy I know found out he and his wife’s two daughters were half-sisters.

I knew of a few, though probably not all because I’m pretty clueless. If/when the relationship failed, it was tough to be in the same area as these people.

I remember Boss-A who had a female employee who was having an affair with a bigger BOSS-B several steps above Boss-A. The female employee was competing for a promotion with several other people in the department. Boss-A had top make the decisiopn and he was a mess. If he chose somebody else would Boss-B retaliate because he did not choose Boss-B's girlfriend? If Boss-A thought the female was the best choice, would others think Boss-A chose her because she was Boss-B's girlfriend?

These work place affairs often affect others negatively. It's no just between consenting adults. It's between everybody else who works with and for the affair participants.

it is more places then you think ... i tried NOT to play into gossip but it all comes out in the wash...

worked in grocery couple found playing around in meat freezer ..... impressive since it was so cold....

worked in aviation couple was found in parts warehouse was a complete surprise to her husband whom had spent a great deal of time trying to look good for the boss but his wife caught with a guy from receiving did not help his career goals ...

had a manger was nice to many and when he did start something .... his wife (whom he also met in an affair situation working at same company) had a nervous breakdown and people wanted to blame me for not warning her ...... i did not know so not my issue....

i have never met anyone at work i found that interesting...

People behave like idiots. At my workplace a young married male was caught by another co-worker kissing a female in a room. So what did she do, got it on her camera and posted it on Facebook. He got fired but my boss didn't want to fire him so she got fired also. And I really liked her.

I worked with two people who's marriages fell apart about the same time. The woman was 7 years older. Doesn't look it. The guy asked her out. Bottom line, they started dating. No one knew but myself and one other co-worker because J., the lady just wanted to share with someone. And we kept our mouths shut. When they announced their engagement, they did it by letting the administration know first. Class acts. Still married, it must be about 25 years now.

A classic "reply all" email situation happened at the university where I worked: 2 higher-up administrators who were married to others started an affair which everybody found out about when one sent a steamy email reply to the other and, you guessed it, hit "reply all" instead of replying to just their lover; IIRC, there were about 30 employees in that "reply all" list who got to read it. And of course, those 30 had the news spread all over the campus in no time at all.

Shenanigans. Interesting description. Shenanigans. :ROFLMAO:

Think about it. A person gets murdered. First person to get questioned would be the spouse. "Are you engaging in any shenanigans?""
