World Central Kitchen... do you donate?

From what I've seen, Chef Jose Andres is doing amazing work in countries in need. I remember when his team was in Puerto Rico after the hurricane. That's the first time I donated to their cause. I occasionally receive emails from WCK. I'm never sure what to donate to these days, since every checkout machine now asks for donations, so I donate to his cause. WCK is now doing work in Israel and Palestine so I sent another donation. Most of us are so fortunate in this country, I'm happy to donate to citizens that are in dire need of assistance.

Any other worthwhile organizations that you donate to?

I don't have a lot to spread around, and I prefer to keep it local, with our food pantry, animal shelter and such. Places I can see its actually helping and not going into some CEO's pocket.

I only donate locally to small organizations that don’t have a lot of overhead so the money is getting to the people that need help. Also I have less money to donate than previously.
