Shouldnt this Pope stick to praying rather then talk about the WWIII.
I couldnt believe this( ) said that.

Is the War on Terrorist a world wide thing? Is it WW3? I don't blieve the Pope is an idiot. He is the esteemed leader of a world wide body of christain believers. Some of us do not always understand his meaning when he speaks but that is our own short comings I would suggest.
 
"Idiot" was the wrong word to use and you're right he IS the world leader,but he should doublecheck with wording his staff prepares for him.

And you just have to look at the current situation with Russia and Ukraine. I thought sanctions were put in place to force Russia to not meddle in Ukraine - but when they do what was demanded(?), Washington says, 'who care's, we're still going to make you and your country suffer'! Like WTF! Sounds like trying to back Russia into a corner where they have no choice but to react.

While you made some very excellent points about a possible WW3 happening and I agree with you.
My post is about the Pope and the Pope alone talking about the future of this planet and has no business talking about WW3 unless God himself told him "there is going to be a ww3 pretty soon". He's suppose to be a Man Of Peace not of war.
 
Don't you think as a resident of the planet and a man who likely still has family (brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews) not to mention friends, that he has a right to an opinion? And I would think that as long as he formulates it based on the best knowledge available, he is more than welcome to weigh in (as far as I'm concerned) and try to dissuade the mindless idiots who seem to be propelling the world in that direction. Men of Peace can warn of war that seems imminent and I would think that by virtue of his status, is likely to have a bigger impact than little old you or me as we yammer on a forum about it. This fellow is the first Pope that I have liked. Seems more proactive and more in tune with the teachings of Jesus.

Anyway, go Pope!!! Three cheers for speaking up!
