Worms Are A Gardener's Best Friend.....Well....Not Every Worm.

Most people only know the common earthworm. It aerates the soil and provides nutrients as it expels worm castings.
But there are two invasive species that are not welcome in our gardens, lawns, and forests. One is the Hammerhead Worm. It eats the common earthworm and has a toxic excretion that can give you a nasty rash if you touch it. Then there's the Jumping Worm that lives just below the surface of soil. Both of these are spreading across the country and both are unwelcome. Look them up on YouTube for more information.
