Bought an electric razor recently that did not cut, returned it. Bought two glass bottles of salad dressing and both were smashed due to no packing at all. Emailed pics and complained and never got a response. Ordered a nice combo magnifying glass/ bright lamp for close up detail viewing. The light would not come on. Called the vendor and they said toss it and sent me another free and it works fine.

My worst was from Walmart. They threw everything in a too-big box with hardly any tape and no packing. It rolled around and things were smashed. The box must have come open during transit since several things were missing but there was also things that I didn't order in the box. I called them and they replaced the missing and the worst of the smashed items and didn't make me return the items that didn't belong to me.

Costco, ordered 4 items and it said they would all be delivered before Christmas. One item was, the other 3 were not. And the one item was shipped in the wrong colour.

Unusual for Costco.

That is unusual for Costco. Delays were understandable this year so I forgave everyone. It’s the delayed wrong item that‘s so annoying.

At the very start of the pandemic, I order a couple of medical items from Amazon. They were overpriced junk that was very late. I should have demanded that they take them back. They wanted me to do a video to show how the thermometer didn’t work. No way.

I have had great experiences with online shopping. Walmart really wraps everything well and sometimes its too much wrapping. I think it depends on what store sends to you.
Yes i think most items shipped poorly are a result of where it may come from.... not store but actual warehouse location etc.
I once never received an item .......................but that was because of such increased volume ... some shippers are scrambling with volume and use some fly by night local delivery groups.
I was given a refund but who knows where the package ever ended up.
funny item today i was sent a survey asking what type items/ services would increase my online shopping since i rarely do........

I once ordered some bottles soy sauce. Five large 14 oz bottles with long necks.

Anyways.. A week or so later I found a square box, (big enough to put a basketball in) sitting on my porch, leaking soy sauce out of the bottom and all over the place. Yikes, I grabbed the box and went out back to my garden hose, opened it up, and washed it all down.

Actually it looked like they did do a good job of packing. Lots of stuffing and each bottle was well covered in bubble wrap. But I guess that just wasn't enough for one of the bottles. I felt sorry for the delivery person, I bet that box left a good mess in their truck.. 🤯

In late October, I bought a washer, dryer, and stove from Home Depot online. I called to cancel the order. The customer service reps I talked to said the order did not exist, even though it was linked on my online account. The online link was dead, though. I told them to make sure it was not delivered because I was going to order the items from another store. I also asked them why, if the order didn't exist, HD had already charged my credit card. They said that was impossible and they did not charge my card.

I ordered the same items from Best Buy and everything went smoothly.

Meanwhile, I could not get HD to refund my money. A credit finally showed up in my credit card account in late December. Oh, and HD delivered the original order in November, without telling me. My adult son actually accepted the delivery even though he had accepted the Best Buy delivery a week earlier. In early December, I did get the local HD to pick up the appliances they had delivered even though my order did not exist.

I moved out of the house my husband and I lived in because he was going to public places daily, and not taking Covid precautions. I have triple negative breast cancer and could not take the risk of getting Covid. I am also very sensitive to the various chemo drugs, and get very sick from the many side effects. Otherwise I would have handled this HD situation with a lot more gusto.

I hope all this makes sense. I can't type very well because of chemo-induced neuropathy in my hands. And I have what they call chemo brain, which will likely reverse once chemo is over. Senior moments happen to me now too frequently.

@WheatenLover. Glad you handled it in spite of your health issues. Good luck with your treatments & hope they end soon.
