Worthwhile News Sources

The recent thread about TV news coverage, and how useless much of it is, and how it's mostly about making money from commercials, has encouraged me to mention some Internet new sources that do a FAR better job of keeping the public informed than any of the TV networks.

1. OpenSecrets.org This site tracks the money that flows to the politicians and gives a pretty good idea as to just where their priorities lie.

2. Project VoteSmart.org. This site tracks the voting record of the politicians...National/State/Local....and shows just what they are Really doing to us.

3. ProPublica.org. Here, you can find reports and insight that the mainstream media almost never reports.

There is tons of information on these sites that most never hear about, and it can take hours to read/absorb it all. But, if anyone is interested in truthful and unbiased reporting about what is Really going on in this nation, spending time on these sites is Well Worth It.

Thanks for that. I shall take a look and devour it all. At the moment I go to Al Jazeera for news as there is so much there which is never mentioned on the British news channels.
