I bought this handy garden spade for my hubby after he kept taking mine exactly the same
We both like gardening and I found mine and he did as well ..handy for digging weeds with long roots or planting / transplanting veggie seedlings

I ordered this early in Dec and it arrived a week before Christmas so I didn’t unwrap I just gave it to him to open when he wanted to ,on opening it today we found it was / is badly scratched the cap thingy where the spade is fitted into the wood handle is split / looks like it’s been re glued at some time with glue dribbles over that cap thing
its dirty and rough like it’s been used quite a bit ( I’ve had one the same for over 2 years ) it’s been used quite a bit and not a scratch on it ..compared to this one.
I paid $42 for this pls postage

I got it from a shop in New South Wales ,and I’ve already contacted them and as soon as all the Christmas celebrations are over with here in Australia I’ll be on the phone to them .
I payed using PayPal so hopefully they will assist me in getting my money refunded if it’s necessary to go down that path

Ive never bought anything from Amazon until just over a week ago I must say I’m highly impressed by their customer service ,I ordered a mini denon blue tooth speaker which I can use Siri and answer phone calls if I wanted to .,it was at my place less than 2 business days after ordering it ,it came from Melbourne about 1000 km from where I live @Jules

I suspect some switch went on with garden spades from the place you bought one. The packer sneakily exchanged his beat up spade with the new one you ordered. Packed it up and sent it on to you. No? lol.

No, I wouldn't accept that. What an added nuisance, to deal with the problem now. :confused:
