Hello, I'm currently a Stanford researcher interested in helping low-income youth (many who are kindergarten-5th grade students) form tutoring/mentorship relationships with folks who have retired and find themselves wanting to do some good with their extra time. At the moment, tutors/mentors are high school and college students; however, as a researcher that works with both children and retired adults, I have come across many retired folks who would love to help tutor children. I'm wondering if this is widespread interest. The idea would be you could tutor over videochat, in the comfort of your own home with a laptop/computer/ipad.
