Would you consider yourself a nervous Nellie?

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times or maybe, just maybe it was something in-between.

IMO - worry slowly kills some of us, yet it's hard for many people to escape.

Any solutions old wise ones?

I use to have more Internet outages, and for a time I invested in a "hot spot" device as a backup. But it wasn't reliable, had a confusing fee structure, and before I knew it they wanted me to buy another device.

Now I have a cheapo cellphone plan that costs me more than the $100/year I had before but has data, more data than I ever come close to using before they top it off each month. So if my home Internet is down for any length of time I can just use USB Tethering to get my PC online through my phone at decent speeds.

Just to reassure myself I'm using it now. Watching a video as I type this.

I get nervous a lot any more. Driving with more traffic on our roads due to influx of people moving here and the drivers doing things that are too scary for driving trying to avoid them. Get nervous over things that go wrong with purchases and money that seems to be charged wrong. Do not like contacting companies to straightened them out.

I am hyper and trying calm down , I rehearse for an argument I think I am going to have and not proud of this .

I get things done but you get more done by being calm .

I live in a HOA and was big in removing two boards for stealing , my neighbor is a young lawyer and I told him what I was going to say at a meeting just to make sure I could not get sued for slander yet let them have it .

His exact words were " Pops please do not say this '' but since it was not slander I did and I sealed my fate as far as no one wanted to vote for me , interestingly enough though planning to sell / move a community which once " hated " me now pretty much everyone is as great and they stop and chat / waive .

Angled intersection. I'm in the green car, waiting at red light to turn right onto the cross street divided highway. Red arrows are cross-traffic directions. White is my sight-line, trying to see oncoming cross traffic and decide whether to turn right on red. Very hard to see clearly at this angle and watch the traffic light at the same time.

Hillbilly in jacked up blue truck or SUV keeps pushing.

When I posted in other threads about being a worrier, I saw several other posts by members suggesting they just think of other things instead of what worries them. It's good they can do that; wish I could.

Yesterday, flags went up on my street and in my yard - yellow, blue, green. The City will be replacing water lines, so major disruptions will be expected. It will be rather hard to think of other things when excavators and work crews are practically in my face, starting probably next week.

I've never liked the option to turn right on red. I don't even like blinking red lights.

We're all taught to stop on red and I think we should keep it that way. Like you, I usually have someone behind me who thinks I should go even though they aren't even in a position to see the traffic.

Blinking red lights and 4 way stop signs here I avoid at all cost and if can not I make a right till can make a legal U-turn.

No worries or nerves here. Right around the time both parents died (same month and same year from different reasons) and I had to do all the stuff with 2 funerals and dealing with 4 a**h*** brothers, I found my strength. One cannot be a nervous nellie while also being in medicine as a fast decision maker.
