Would You Do This?

you say that tho'.. but bear in mind, if you were to go on having your own head and brain, you wouldn't just have the memories good and bad from previous times, you'd continue to have new ones for eternity...
Because i believe consciousness is independent of (despite being affected by) our bodies and eternal i think my consciousness will proceed with that anyway. Don't want to hijack this thread--so will simply say i believe not only in 'afterlife' but reincarnation--and have experienced past life memories, tho the bulk of them are often forgotten unless triggered when working out traumatic responses or karmic relationships with others. So for me the making new memories as well as having the old is the natural order. Don't need or want their tech or drugs. Save for palliative care should my death in this life be a physically painful one. Even then i might resist long enough to say my goodbyes if possible.

With each lifetime and experience, our soul evolves into higher, finer beings, closer to the God consciousness.
With each life, we become richer in the qualities in the heart, happier in the mind, more alive than we have ever known.
This multiplies into limitless lives in limitless worlds, unfathomable creative intelligence. You radiate joy, love, happiness.
I run to the next existence, holding my heart.

So, "Would I do this?"
(chuckle) "no."

Even though I don't know what happens at death, I am really looking forward to mine. I've wanted to move beyond my physical life on earth to whatever comes next. This life I know has been difficult and spiritually unrewarding compared to what I hope for. There is no proof but I believe there is more to come after death.
