Would you pay this?

BFF sent me the nicest collection of teas for Christmas. Best I have ever had and decided to buy more. Found them online and for 20 tea bags, it's $42.00! (Tea Forte) No way I will pay that much for tea, no matter how good it is unless it can make me 20 years younger.

Out of boredom, I browsed around Amazon and there is a 40-something ounce scented candle that is priced at $101.00. Not kidding. $101.00. For a candle.

Who pays these crazy prices??

20 teabags? That's 1 tiny package! It should be at least with an expensive wooden box.

Wow the candle. Burn it and it's gone. That's like fireworks.

Apparently your BFF is one of those people.
😉🤭😂

Maybe paying an outrageous price when selecting a gift is a way for some people to express their love.

It could also be the business model to set a high retail price that suggests luxury and then come along later and WOW the customer with a great sale price of 50% or 75% off.

That seems to be the strategy with many of the old department stores like Kohls, Macy’s, etc…

Look past the hype and try to focus on value.

Nope never.. not in a month of Sundays.......but fools and their money are easily parted and these companies know this. It's no wonder there's massive credit card debt

That reminds me of the Mugsy Jeans commercial I keep seeing on television. Where the guy in the commercial tells you that your jeans suck, and you should buy a pair of Mugsy Jeans. I went on line to the company's website and found out that each pair of jeans was $118! I can go to Walmart and buy their brand of Men's jeans, for $19.99. Almost $100 less.

I’m not a tea drinker, unless I am under the weather and then maybe I will drink a cup of tea. I do keep a small box of tea on hand just in case I do get ill, but usually throw most of it out because it goes out of date. I buy a new box on my next trip to the store. I buy a small box of Lipton.

When my niece comes to visit, which will be in a few weeks, she drinks coffee first in the morning and then sips on a cup of tea later. BTW, she’s not my niece. She’s my cousin, but when I was a little boy, my uncle introduced her to me as my niece, so I just continued that facade. He wasn’t the smartest one of the 3 brothers. My dad was.
