Would your life seem empty without music?

No, not at all. I prefer quiet so I can think without distractions. At home, rarely play music. A lifestyle change I began in my twenties after more frequently listening to FM AOR radio because of the difficult nature of my technical work with lots of regular studying and my interest in reading science and technology. Decades ago bought expensive HiFi stereo component appliances but became frustrated because such was too loud to play in my rental residences without bothering neighbors. I still play rock music loud when in remote locations or wearing ear buds.

Now in my senior era, I often go for days without listening to music. During my working years, I tended to listen to FM radio rock music sometimes while driving on long road trips. When I do listen to music, it has more impact. That noted, have been a serious live music Classic Rock person all my adult life.

WOW I saw the Supremes in person at Atlantic City long ago , and Bobbie Daren and a few others from the 1960s.

I cannot live without Music. I like soundtracks too and bought myself, for Valentines Day "Porgy and Bess" the original recording, on a CD. I saw the movie in 1960 as well in NY City, in Sensurround and CinemaScope and it was FABULOUS !
I still have the "record" of the album but it got worn out.

I cannot drive without my CDs that I make from an MP3 player.

It is inspiring to see how many here love Music!

Got that right

I miss the songs of the coyotes when living up in the mountains

Got to sittin' out after the day was done
and listen to their songs waft thru the pines

No better music
Oh yeah, the sound of the coyotes, fox, etc! I too, enjoy sitting on the back deck while the sun goes down and just listening to what's talking from the woods, way after dark. How awesome it is to hear the saw-whet owls crooning to each other. Or a deer snort, a bear snapping twigs coming through the darkness and the raccoons chattering.

Life is music in itself, sounds you hear on a spring day compared to the thunder and chaos of raindrops on the roof, to a winter storm or blizzard. All of these come courtesy of Mother Nature with love and affection. We need sounds to identify the world in which we live in.
To answer your question, would your life seem empty without music? I need music to remind me of life.

Music is sort of a driver of change, thinking about stuff!
Dreams are what Music has to offer.
Imagination and music work well together. You know?
Imagine all the People living in Harmony. Sure that's easy!

HAVE A GREAT NIGHT, ALL THE PEOPLE IN HARMONY!

I love to tune my Acoustic and play along with that song
that hooked me for a great mental and physical workout.
I put my axe down when my finger start to hurt knowing
I feel really great about stuff. HahaI

I had a ton of fun with that song, maybe several.
It only fixed me in my way, my day, my fun. But I had it all for a while. haha

I could live without music. I paint, draw, sew, etc. never have any music on. And when I'm out and there is music from cars, neighbours, stores, etc. I wish it was just quiet. Used to love it when I was young, but not now. I like quiet. But I do like some of the musicals of the old movies but again, I can live without.

In the Plaza where I do my shopping it has a "quiet time" between 9.30 am and 10.30 am. Then all hell lets loose with loud music which is quite deafening at times. Why can't they play the same music in each shop?
