Wow, Rock Balancing

This guy is so cool. How he mentally figures out where to balance rocks, and the total hand control to place stones in exactly the right spot is freaky. Totally unreal. Unbelievable. His creations look like computer generated images, but you watch him build them!!!!!!

In Zion National Park, along one easy riverside trail, there's a beach area full of rocks that are just BEGGING....nay, demanding....to be stacked.
And even though there are signs telling you not to stack the rocks, dozens of people stack the rocks every day with dazzling results. Very impressive. I was most admiring and just might have...mind you...might have but then again might not have stacked a few myself.....
The rangers come down every day or two and knock down all the creations, scattering the rocks around. Next day, people stack rocks. Rangers knock them down again. Rinse and repeat. Human nature is to build.

It's like a certain sect of monks who make beautiful displays of colored sand then after completing it the rub it out. Showing nothing is permanent.

Is there a rebar or stick through the rocks?
How did you find such beautifully shaped rocks? The little gray one in front; I love that! All the gray ones are such beautifully shaped!

These are just rocks from the lake and/or river I live at in the Ozarks. If necessary a little goop is used to keep them together. My favorite rock I found while beachcombing Santa Catalina Island off the coast of CA. I keep it on my desktop and it reminds me of Mick Jagger lips - gotta use your imagination a little.
