Love Christmas; even the mangled lights.

No we can’t afford new ones each year. We throw them out once the colours of the lights have faded so much that they no longer match quite the same. I’ve got blue as the main colour with pink and purple to chic it up some.
My greenhouse also gets a live Christmas tree put inside with Christmas lights in it and matching lights in the outside. When it is covered with snow it looks so gorgeous. Unfortunately I only have a picture from before it snowed a lot but it still looks lovely.

I really enjoy the Christmas Season with all the colourful lights, special foods and Christmas carols.
Its sooo joyful.

The fake Christmas tree goes inside the house. It looks really skinny in this pic but it’s not in real life. It IS on a slant though

We've never decorated the inside or outside of the house or put up a Xmas tree and we quit exchanging gifts many, many moons ago.

I cleared the decks on most of my holiday ornaments a couple of years ago.

I put up a little ceramic tree from the 1970's and a small nativity scene.

I fill in with a couple of nice poinsettias or a giant amaryllis.

I plug in a tiny ceramic tree, and that's it for me. Never did put up lights outside the house, just a wreath on the front door and a tree inside, a small real tree or natural looking artificial one.

I have a little four-foot pre-lighted tree that I decorate with redbirds and stars. There's a star made of twigs on the top. I hang a wreath on the front door and put up a few things on the mantle. That's it for me. My days of having over a thousand Santa Clauses around the house is long past. I even had a large all-Santa tree, including a Santa angel.

I use a four and a half foot prelighted artificial tree. I decorate with various type ornaments collected over the years. And so it's like meeting old friends again with all the memories connected to each little ornament. But it is a hassle taking them down. Sometimes it's not until March that I take them down and put away the tree. :numbness:

I have this small artificial tree that I decorated 5 or 6 years ago; I put it away fully decorated in a spare closet and just pull it out for the holidays and plug it in. Slam a wreath on the front door and call it a day.

When the kids were at home, we were the Griswolds with decorations and lights you could see from outer space. Now I'm not as enthusiastic about decorating.
