Yearly physical

My last physical was 40 years ago - & only because an employer requested it. Even then, I limited it to whatever was not invasive or I felt was unnecessary. The doctor wanted a full set of chest X-Rays. I said, "No." He said, "You won't get the job." I got the job, anyway.
I believe your health has more to do with your lifestyle than how often you see a doctor.
Reality: No doctor can fix anyone who doesn't do whatever they can to stay healthy. And No doctor can cure what's incurable.
This has been my thoughts too
I resent how I feel I have to see a doctor when they all rely on pills from the places that pump you with their cures.
Why are these doctors sliding by their own idea of RNs dealing with people they use to talk to, now the last RN a male nurse told me to do my own work as retrieving my meds and calling me a taxi to return home since a ambulance took me in.
Seems he needed to be at a Beverly Hills Hospital he was indignate that I needed his help why I had called 911.

It seems Doctors have forever been put up on some kind of pedestal, and should never be questioned. In reality they are no different than any other profession, electrician, plumber, accountant, etc.. Out of every ten there are two that are really good, four that are competent, and the other five you don't ever want to be involved with. Not everyone finished at the top of there class, and even if they did, it doesn't mean they are honest, or ethical in there treatment. Until my 50's I rarely saw a doctor unless it was for a serious injury. I had a nasty form of prostate cancer at 52, and had it not been found, I would not be here now. My regular GP retired a few years back, and I haven't cared for any I've seen since. Will be trying a new one that has been recommended to me this year. All that being said, I now go in every year for a free wellness check, and get a full blood workup every other year. Mike
