Yesterday was just chock full of fun things.

First of all my son and his girlfriend took me out for a belated Mother's Day Brunch, because I was at Krystal's wedding was the Mother's Day weekend. He always takes me to a fun, new place each Mother's Day. It's become a tradition for a few years now. This newest place, Husk, did not disappoint!!

Fun time with fun kinfolk!

The food was amazing! A couple of different appetizers to start, then Eggs Benedict for me with a peppered hash brown side that was unbelievable! And Shrimp and Grits for Cam. Deanna had an Everything Omelette. We girls enjoyed Mimosas and Cam had a Berry Blast. Dessert was Grandma's strawberry corncake with Basil ice cream. Mm-mmmm!!

As an aside, they are a very sweet couple. They haven't been together all that long (6 months I think) but Cameron is very enamored, and Deanna seems to be too. I hope she is his One. He wants so much to be married.

Late in the day, after slugging away at the house and moving more stuff over, and putting away and arranging and rearranging, Ron and I decided to escape for a while. We'd earned it!! So we took the bike out and rode, saw some lovely scenery, and ended up at our favorite Roadside Bar and Grill not far from home where the bike folk congregate. Ron's been going there for years and they all know him. We had the most amazing Turkey Reubens with a side of potato salad...Ron's favorite order apparently, because when the gal saw him she just smiled and said "The usual?" and he held up two fingers, so we both got a plate and a ice cold Bud. It was a lovely end to the day.

Great photos. The food looks fantastic. Nothing better than having a good time with family.

My son took me on his motor cycle. I was ok until he went around a corner and I was suppose to lean with him. I thought for sure we were going to fall, so I sat up straighter which made it very difficult for him to turn. He brought me home and said never again. Ronni it looks like you have mastered riding quite well.

My favorite thing is to hang out with family, any combination!

I come from a riding family Ruth :) My Dad always had a bike. So did my brother. My first and second sons all ride. It had been some years since I'd gotten on a bike, so the first time Ron took me out, I asked him to remind me of the 2nd seat rules. We've not had any problems thankfully, because he's pretty particular about who he'll ride with.

We're talking now about getting another smaller, lighter bike, so that we can both ride. That would be amazing!!

Ronni, I loved your pics and commentary! The brunch sound amazing. I got stuck on "basil ice cream" I just have to seek it out!

What I could see of your son, he seems handsome and the girl is beautiful. Hope it works out for them.

Such a fun post!
